The library shall be open from 04.00 pm to 07.00 pm during the period from April to September and from 3 pm to 6 pm during October to March on all days except Saturdays and on 26 th January, 15 th August, 2 nd October Diwali, Holi, Christmas, Guru Nank Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti and Buddh Purnima and Ramzan Eid.

All members of the Society shall be ex-officio members of the library. However, their spouses and children will have to apply for the membership of the library. The Secretary of the Society may grant membership of the library to any needy student or any other person on the recommendation of any member of the Society. The Librarian may allow any needy student/person to enter the library and use it for one day only. If such student/person has applied for the membership of the library then the Librarian may allow such student till the decision is taken on his request. The Librarian may refuse admission to any student or other person.

Library cards for issuing books will be issued to the members of the library, including ex-officio members, on refundable interest free security deposit of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) per card. Maximum 2 cards can be issued to one member. One book will be issued against one card.

The Vice President or Secretary of the Society, subject to the approval by the President, may grant special membership and issue library cards to the deserving students without taking any security deposit from them. There shall not be more than 50 such special members at any given time.

A book shall be issued for two weeks, however, the book can be re-issued if there is no requisition from any other member. Fine at the rate of Re. 1/- per day shall be charged on delay in return of the book. Price of the book with fine will be recovered if a book is not returned within a month from the due date of return. The Vice President/Secretary may remit the fine in deserving cases.

Reference books such as Dictionaries, Encyclopaedia, Directories, etc., shall not be issued to any person. Whether any book is issuable or not, the decision of the Librarian shall be final. Nobody shall be allowed to take any book, magazine or other reading material out of the library hall without permission of the Librarian.

Smoking and making noise in the library is strictly prohibited. The Librarian may ask any person to leave the library and such person shall abide by his direction. Any complaint against Librarian may be made to the Secretary.

Holding, underlining or writing any thing on the books, maps, magazines, newspapers, etc. or causing damage to the Society’s property in any way shall hold the concerned person liable for cancellation of his membership and/or recovery of losses.

All students and other persons shall maintain proper discipline and decorum while using the library-cum-study centre.

Library may be closed on any day (s) without any prior notice. No fine on delay in return of books shall be charged for such period. The Society may amend these rules by modification, deletion, addition without any prior notice to the members.
