About Library

To provide the needy students with the basic facilities of library and reading rooms, the Society set up its first library-cum-study center at Hisar in the year 1994. It is accommodated in a big hall at the first floor of the Society’s building at 65, Chander Lane, Patel Nagar, Hisar (Haryana).

A large number of books covering different subjects/topics such as General Knowledge, History, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Sociology, Psychology, Agriculture, Science, Languages, etc. are available in the library. Dictionaries, encyclopaedia, year books, old question papers, guides for various competitive and entrance examinations are also available. There are also general books on health, religion, art, culture and books on and by great persons. The Society also subscribes many national level magazines and periodicals in addition to various news papers.

The books are divided into various sections subject/topic wise and properly arranged/displayed in book cases with glass shutters. The Libray remains open on all days from 4 pm to 7 pm during April to September and from 3 pm to 6 pm during October to March except Saturdays and Public Holidays of 26 th January, 15 th August, 2 nd October, Diwali, Holi, Christmas, Guru Nank Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti, Buddh Purnima and Ramzan Eid.

The Library is managed by an Hony. Librarian. The Vice President, Secretary and other members of the Governing body also visit the Library-cum-Study Centre to ensure its smooth functioning and proper discipline and decorum.

Keeping in view the usefulness of its library-cum-study centre at Hisar, the Society set up its second library-cum-study centre in village Banmandori, district Fatehabad (Haryana) in the year 2005 to cater the needs of the students of rural areas. This library is also accommodated in a big hall at the ground floor of the Society’s building opening on the main road.

A large number of books on various subjects are available in this library also as are available at the Society’s library at Hisar. Keeping in view the need of villagers, many Hindi books on agriculture, animal husbandry, health, religion, art, and culture have been kept at this library. The timings and the rules and regulations for both the libraries are same. This library is also managed by an Hony. Librarian. The Sarpanch and other responsible citizens of the village have been requested to visit the library from time to time and ensure proper discipline and decorum.
